We arrived for a planned Afternoon tea and were made very welcome by owners. This delightful manor house is quirky but interesting & very clean & tidy. The gardens are in need of attention but this might be due to the recent poor weather. The Afternoon tea was one of the best we've had in a long time & noted others enjoying same event.

We had an afternoon tea here. The food and service were both good and well presented. The scones were really good and included orange peel instead of currents which I particularly enjoyed. As the weather was good we sat in the garden which was nicely laid out with lots of colourful bedding plants. For less nice days the dining room looked very comfortable with lots of sofas.

Had an afternoon tea here I have to say I've had better this was bought as a wedding gift The service was fine we were welcomed in and told where to go which was like a lounge with old fashioned furniture was like travelling back in time. You could sit outside but we chose inside as it wasn't the warmest of days didn't have to wait long then it came there were an assortment of sandwiches and cakes pot of tea and pot of hot water. The salmon sandwiches were raw salmon which isn't for me the ham ones were fine the cakes were OK but not amazing and I didn't care for the scones at all! Now as I say this was a gift so I am assuming that the couple that gave us this loved it there so maybe we were just unfortunate but I will be sticking to marks and Spencer for there afternoon tea

Lovely afternoon tea in beautiful location with pretty grounds. The scones, cakes and sandwiches were high quality and fresh with really attentive service.

In their Afternoon Tea they need to provide 3x more savoury food. They only provide a couple sandwiches, nothing else. The ratio of sweet to savoury isn't well balanced. If you want just sweet food I would recommend coming here for afternoon tea. Otherwise lovely location, wonderful staff, very attentive, relaxing environment.

We stayed 3 nights to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and picked the perfect location. The rooms are perfect, clean and comfortable. The hospitality is second to none, we were made to feel very welcome. Afternoon tea is absolutely gorgeous and the lonuge extremely comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and a good selection of options. Gardens are lovely and well looked after. I can very highly recommend Lastingham Grange and we will definitely be returning.

It's always lovely to visit Lastingham Grange, which stands out like a beacon of high quality in a sea of mediocrity. Everything about my stay was good, from the beautifully decorated bedroom to the little touches like free morning papers and delicious little tiny snacks with one's evening drink. My family and I have been coming to the Grange for many years, and it never disappoints. The Wood family who own and run it are a constant, friendly presence, and never let their standards slip.

Faultless service and extremely well organised. I felt like a princess! The staff were so friendly, polite and keen to go the extra mile. I travel alot and this place has by far THE BEST service. The rooms were beautiful, I was staying on my own for a break and I couldn't have been happier. A beautiful location, exquisite food and service and beautiful rooms! You have to visit it yourself to really know what I'm talking about. I will certainly be booking in another visit.

We booked afternoon tea only the day before and I was surprised when we managed to get booked in. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by reception and they confirmed our booking. We were then shown through and given the option of the lounge or the terrace. As it had finally stopped raining first time all day we opted for the terrace. We were given plenty of time to decide what afternoon tea we wanted from the vast selection and it was soon served at the table all except the scones which were in the oven and were soon brought out afterwards. The quality of the food and the service was excellent we offered more tea on at least 2 occasions which in my mind is great. Overall very pleased with the whole package and as it was also my wife’s birthday today I earned some brownie points.
